It’s a new year, and it’s time for a fresh start the Round Top way. If you’re looking forward to getting out and about in 2021, you’re not alone – and there’s no better place to do it than our tiny Texas town. Why not catch up on everything you missed in 2020 by making your own Round Top resolutions? Luckily, we can get you started with this handy list.

In 2021, I resolve to….

1. Visit Round Top Village
And you thought shopping in Round Top couldn’t get any better. This newest collection of eclectic, quaint specialty shops is open year-round, Thursday-Sunday, and features locally handcrafted jewelry, wardrobe staples, and, as always, vintage antiques and furniture. Stop by the Village in 2021 and see what unique finds you can get your hands on!

2. Take a Dip in Round Top’s Only Swimming Pool
With the soft opening of Hotel Lulu in January, Round Top is gaining more than just a cool new place to stay. With six vintage guest cottages, lush grounds and an herb garden, the hotel will be the perfect spot for an escape. As a bonus, it features our town’s only swimming pool (currently). Check in here to check this resolution off your list.

3. Attend Every Antique Show
This list wouldn’t be complete without an antique-themed resolution! And since antiques are at the heart of our town’s charm, it’s only logical that you should visit us during each of the three (yes, three!) Antique Shows we host every year. Check out our Events page to stay current on dates for our spring, fall and winter shows.

4. Take a Summer Road Trip
Windows down and the music loud — is there any better way to travel? If Round Top’s your destination, it’s sure to be a great time. Why not resolve to head out of the city for a summer weekend away in Round Top? Our population may be 90, but we’ve got everything you need. We even made you a road trip playlist!

5. Go On a Round Top Brewery Tour
With the recent addition of La Grange Brewing Company and the early 2021 opening of Round Top Brewing, we’ve got enough brew for your crew! If you’re a fan of breweries, mosey over to Round Top in 2021 to check out what we’ve got on tap.

6. Celebrate the 50^th Anniversary of Festival Hill
The Round Top Festival Institute turned 50 in 2020! They weren’t able to celebrate last year, but they have plenty of events planned for 2021. While their 50^th Anniversary Gala in April is sold out, there are still ways you can support the organization and enjoy some amazing classical music, too.

7. Map Out Minden Square
The newest addition to our collection of town squares is a can’t-miss destination in 2021. Located at the intersection of South Washington and Austin, Minden Square features three restored 19^th-century houses hosting Round Top businesses. Round Top Brewing, Lollitop Sweetshop and MimiBella’s make their homes here, and we can’t wait for what else is in store for the new year!

8. Find Your Perfect Fit
With so many places to stay in Round Top, it feels like there are unlimited options when it comes to the perfect getaway! Depending on what kind of weekend you’re looking for, there’s a Round Top lodging option to fit your occasion in 2021.

 9. Eat More Food
Most folks make resolutions to eat healthier and lose those holiday pounds in the new year. We’re here to tell you that the food in Round Top is too good to stay away from for any length of time. The good news is, we’ve got it all — from locally sourced, farm-fresh eats to sweet delicacies and everything in between. Are you up for trying a bit of everything this year?

10. Make New Friends
Congratulations, you’ve made it to the end of the list! And for number ten, we’re giving you an easy one. Because the truth is, every face in Round Top is a friendly one. And no matter where you come from, we’re ready to welcome you to town. We can’t wait to see you in 2021!
