Check Out Some Awesome Animals
Got a little one who goes giddy for farm animals? We’ve got ‘em in droves around here! The Jersey Barnyard offers fun farm tours that include the chance to feed and pet the animals, learn how a dairy works — and even try your hand at milking a cow! Meanwhile, over at Blissful Folly Farm, the kids can take in the sights of the donkeys, mini sheep, goats, chickens and other animals that call our area home — while Mom and Dad sip on mead, ciders and wines!

Get ‘em Explorin’
We think everybody should get the chance to explore Round Top! And one place bound to go over big with the little guys? Our world-famous Round Top Festival Institute. Festival Hill’s grounds are filled with pretty gardens, covered walkways, incredible architecture and all sorts of hidden nooks and crannies. (They make for some pretty awesome photo opps, too!) Henkel Square Market also offers wide-open outdoor spaces and fun shops that supply no shortage of things to discover.

Got a little one who loves gettin’ their hands dirty with arts and crafts — and enjoys a little whimsy, too? Why not roll up your sleeves on their very own fairy garden? DSG Nursery and Gar Co. We’ve got countless educational options sure to keep kiddos entertained. Drop by the Round Top Family Library for storytime, fun arts and crafts and even the chance to dig in on a community garden. (They’ll flip over the outdoor playground, too!) Meanwhile, Burton’s Texas Cotton Gin Museum allows folks of all ages to step back in time to learn all about our area’s history and become one with nature, too.

Keep Those Tummies Full
In case you hadn’t heard, Round Top’s got some pretty incredible things to eat. (And a lot of that stuff is kid friendly!) Popi Burger’s milkshakes and hamburgers are guaranteed to garner some grins. Of course, if you’re lookin’ to indulge their sweet tooth some, Lollitop Sweet Shop and Royers Pie Haven will do the trick.
