Round Top Chamber of Commerce Member Spotlight: The Vintage Round Top

Feb 27, 2019 | Round Top Lodging

Located only a mile from Round Top’s town square, The Vintage Round Top is a boutique home rental that boasts a marriage of clean lines with one-of-a-kind vintage finds. Owned by avid antique collectors Paige and Smoot Hull, the space grew from a visit to Round Top in 2011 when they learned about the need for local lodging during the Round Top Antiques Shows. The couple had recently committed to living with intention – making clear choices that would move them toward the life they wanted – and had been longing for a home in the country. In this case, stumbling upon a farmhouse that was for sale in Round Top seemed serendipitous.

While The Vintage provides a unique country-living experience for guests who rent either of the two cottages, the property has grown exponentially since it was purchased by the Hulls. By building an additional home connected by a mudroom to the original house, as well as two studio-style cottages, the property now has the capacity to host large groups, retreats and events.

What’s commonly called “Round Top magic” is very real, says Paige. “Round Top is such a special place where we’ve been able to connect with like-minded people, entrepreneurial creatives who are excited to share the special qualities of this town with visitors,” she explained. “We get the best of both worlds in Round Top – a year-round group of folks who feel like family and regular visitors, both vendors and shoppers, who come back year and year during the antique shows.”

“I’m incredibly proud to be a Chamber member,” she continued. “Helping shepherd the growth of Round Top in a way that stays true to its unique, small-town character feels like important work, and I love being able to share that mission with other members who feel the same way.”

The Vintage Round Top also offers a collection of handmade home goods and curated vintage pieces, and offers workshops on topics like cooking, yoga, branding and social media.
