There’s More Than Meets the Eye During the Round Top Antiques Show

Mar 28, 2019 | Round Top Antiques Show , Round Top FYI , Round Top Shopping

By now, most everyone who’s heard of Round Top knows about the multiple Antiques Shows that take place in and around our town every year. But if you think that the only thing to do during the Round Top Antiques Show is search for antique treasures, you’re in for a treat. Every year there are numerous events around Round Top that celebrate the gathering of visitors we have to our town for an antiques pilgrimage – here are some we think you should know about.

Junk Gypsy’s Junk-O-Rama Prom: The idea for Junk Gypsy’s annual “prom” party was born from an antique-hunting discovery of several vintage prom dresses. More than 15 years after the first prom, the event is now a magical night complete with live music, glittery chandeliers, a photobooth and out-of-the-box outfits. This year’s prom will take place on April 4 at the Junk Gypsy Tent at Zapp Hall in Warrenton.

Feasts in the Field at Rancho Pillow: While we’ve always been known for antiquing, Round Top is also coming into its own as a foodie destination – and there’s no better place to gather after a long day of antiquing than at Round Top’s wonderland retreat, Rancho Pillow. Their famous Feasts in the Field event is an Antiques Show tradition, and this year, the feast is themed after the incomparable city of New Orleans. Tickets are on sale now for the April 1 and 2 feasts.

Throughout the Antiques Show, individual venues have their own special goings-on. Follow vendors like Market Hill, The Compound and Big Red Barn on social media for news about special events (Wine Wednesdays, anyone?) and exclusive late-night antique shopping hours.
